How can we improve Plume?

refresh timeline/mention/DM separately

when i click refresh button..Touiteur always refresh my timeline,my mentions and DM,this is waste of my network traffic, not only just waste but also low down the Efficiency..the worst:bad user experiments..so i wondered if it could refresh diffrent line separately..that could be better??

Would this even matter if all mentions and dm's were push?

Just refresh timeline and mentions and dm well show up as they come in?

I loved the way it was done in tweetdeck. there'a s known limit on API calls per hour, so you can tune which coloumn updates at which intervals, or tell it to automatically adjust polling times based on moving average of activity. Therefor if you send a DM, then polling for replies will be more frequent and then decay, and if there's activity rising in the main feed it will poll more frequently to give you a more "real time" feeling of staying up to date with whatever live event is causing the flood.

Hell yes. Every other twitter app for android is faster than plume, sad to say. Ocassionally i feel tempted to switch over to twidroid or twicca because oft heir super fast refresh and sending speeds

In the same vein, it would be nice if the DM timeline were refreshed on send.

At the moment, I have to wait 15 minutes (i.e., the notification interval) or manually refresh to see my latest reply. (If I'm missing something obvious, please let me know.)

I also want the order of the refreshment to be customizable.
When I use 2 accounts A and B, and I have a common friend C to both accounts: When C replies to my B account tweet, Plume would refresh in the order:
        "A mentions," "A TL," "ADM," "B mentions," "B TL," "B DM"
In the above case, C's reply should be noticed as "B mentions," but since Plume would feed this tweet in "A TL" before refreshing "B mentions," the tweet would not be labeled as B mentions, and would not pop-up.

This problem can be solved easily if the refreshment order can be changed to:
        "A mentions," "B mentions," "A TL," "B TL," ....

Good one. And I hate having to wait for it to update every single then before it shows my timeline. Not in the best Verizon area, and it takes too long to update everything.

I really like this idea. Api requests needs to be more efficient. I don't always get dms so why waste it on that.

This is one thing that I would LOVE to see. A few nights ago I got rate limited by Twitter for the first time ever while using Touiteur on my phone. I'd like to see a setup similar to TweetDeck for Android where you can set the refresh time for each column. This would reduce API calls for things like Direct Messages or mentions (which can be turned on via SMS now) so I could get a text message when I get a new DM and then manually refresh that column. Also, because of how slow the new native retweet stream is, this one could be set to only update once per hour to further reduce API calls and speed up refreshes.
