Love this app. To me, the only thing missing is push notifications for DMs/mentions.

Plume is a great app, but without push DM and mention notifications, I can't use it. I even bought the Premium. I guess it is back to the constantly-crashing UberSocial.

Absolutely not. battery life on android devices suck big time. Android OS already allows apps to load into resident memory and suck your RAM and consequently battery life. if u want push, sign-up for text alerts instead.

The push when we are using the app is really nice, but push for notifications of mentions and direct message would be awesome !

Plume looks nice, but I won't use it until there are push notifications. Simples.

Saw new version, hopeful but no. Its the must have feature of any twitter client (for me)

It also means I can dial down my refresh interval to save power - indeed I may just refresh when I view my timeline - yet I'll continue to get immediate reply/DM notifications

I had a conversation on twitter today when I had the official app running. the pace was responsive -- multiple people using push. . It really did make such a huge difference I'm seriously considering using that client instead, even though it's otherwise functionally limited and not as fast/pretty/flexible.
I did try virtually all the other apps in the store, and it seems no-one else has proper push (via the google service) at this time.
